Recently, due to changes in customs policies in various countries, some international orders shipped from China may incur import taxes during customs clearance. This is a common situation for many cross-border orders.

To prevent our customers from being asked to pay taxes unexpectedly upon delivery, which can cause delays or inconvenience, StepperOnline has upgraded its logistics process.

Starting January 15, 2026, all import taxes for your orders will be collected at checkout by StepperOnline and paid directly to the local customs through the courier.

This means:

✅ Once you complete your order, no additional payment for Import Taxes is required.

✅ You will not receive notices from the courier requesting extra customs fees.

✅ Your package will clear customs and be delivered as usual.

Estimated import taxes are calculated based on the total order value, including product price and shipping. We apply the official import tax rates of the destination country and typical customs processing charges to provide a close estimate of the taxes payable.

The estimated amount is collected at checkout and paid on your behalf to help ensure smooth customs clearance.

You can check your order payment details to confirm whether customs duties were prepaid.

  • If the payment breakdown includes an item such as “Estimated Duties” or a similar customs-related charge, it means you have successfully prepaid the duties at the time of placing the order. You will not need to pay any additional import taxes during customs clearance.
  • If there are no customs-related charges shown in the payment details, it means duties were not prepaid when the order was placed. In this case, you will need to pay the applicable import taxes according to the instructions provided by the carrier during customs clearance.

For your convenience, you can choose to cancel the prepaid tax option on the checkout page, which allows you to pay import-related fees yourself.

To simplify your purchasing process, we offer an option with free shipping and tax exemption. If needed, please contact us before placing your order. When ordering, please provide your freight forwarder or logistics provider information in the order remarks. After verification, we will arrange for the products to be shipped to the designated location for your pickup.
