We needed a reliable, low-cost closed-loop system for our automated camera rig, and this motor has performed perfectly so far.
Stepper OnLine makes an entire array of fine motors, drivers, and other CNC products. These closed loop stepper motors are no exception. I own several of these. They are easy to configure, or just leave them as they come out of the box. The advantage of a closed-loop motor is that, with the correct controller, they can sense missed steps and send a fault to the controller to stop the job at hand. The number of missed steps required to trigger a fault condition is programmable within the CL57 driver.

Great product so far – smooth, quiet, and powerful on my CNC. Hope they last longer than my previous hybrids did. Planning to buy more for my 4th axis and plasma cutter.
I play around with these. I dropped them onto the hard floor by mistake and they still work perfectly. Wiring was simple. No corrosion, nothing. I don't about durability but they work under my tough conditions. Would recommend.
I swapped out to these steppers when one of the factory steppers died after 2 years of hard work. Decided to step up and double the torque. These fit and connected with no issues.
